The drilling is much softer today! I think they've moved to a different area, rather than directly above my head (or very close). I have something like a pimple on my neck that's hurting a lot. It's annoying and painful, but it's painful in a very mild way.

I actually didn't notice when the drilling started today.. I guess that's a result of yesterday's 8 hours of very loud drilling.

Next on my list of things to do is to get some coloured pencils. I need them both for making mind maps, and also for some of the perfect pitch exercises. The first exercise is to play the notes between middle c and the c lower than middle c (13 notes in total). Play them up and down at varying speeds, and allow your ear to listen to them. Then, see if any associations with visual colours come up for ranges of notes, and draw a "map" of the octave.

The instructions also say not to practice for more than 15-20 minutes each session, and no more than 2 sessions per day, for optimal learning.

I'm planning to be a part-time musician! Guitar, piano and singing. But mostly the guitar and singing, since those instruments are portable.
